Kevin Carswell
Kevin co-founded Azalea Wealth Partners with Robert Hand after serving as an independent financial advisor with LPL Financial in Tyler, Texas, since 2008 after decades of experience with leading regional, national, and international financial institutions. He began his career with Citibank N.A. managing credit lines for multinational corporations, and then worked as an institutional broker and bond trader at one of the largest commercial banks in the South.
After working at the institutional level, he became passionate about working with high-net-worth individuals and families specifically at what would eventually become Regions Bank as well as Citigroup Smith Barney before transitioning to a fully independent practice with LPL Financial in 2008. Kevin continues to devote himself daily to researching markets and the economy so that clients receive exemplary service as well as honest and timely financial advice.
Kevin graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1983. Kevin and his wife of nearly forty years have loved living in Tyler since 1998. They are blessed with two daughters, both of which are married, and currently have two grandchildren. They enjoy the fellowship of South Spring Baptist Church in Tyler, where Kevin serves as deacon and various other teams as needed.
Robert A. Hand
Robert co-founded Azalea Wealth Partners with Kevin Carswell and aims to offer clients the best-in-class resources and investment selection of LPL Financial, the country’s largest independent broker-dealer. Robert developed a passion for investments, market research, and guiding families through their financial lifecycles after working in several adjacent industries. He first became a Wealth Management Associate with LPL, where he then became a fully licensed Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager.
Robert brings extensive experience and unique perspective to the work of wealth management from the fields of small business ownership, insurance, research, project management, and higher education. A natural coach and educator, Robert regularly teaches and gives lectures at several area universities. He enjoys combining all these areas of experience in educating and advising clients how to navigate the financial markets and investment strategies.
Robert is also a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. He lives in Tyler with his wife of over twenty years and two teenage daughters. They are active at Whitehouse ISD and in the Tyler and Whitehouse communities. They are members at Marvin Methodist Church, where Robert is an elder and popular teacher.
